Personality: Varis speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against orcs.

Description: A plain young-adult man, he typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep grey leather and dull green iron scale mail. His chestnut hair is knotted and matted. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. After a long history of fighting, Vonbin and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and to reunite with his absent father

Description: She wears a brown coat over a red low-cut shirt, and a feathered hat upon her head. She is portly but not overly obese. She sports a flattop hair cut. Her hazel eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Galiena is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Born in the west to a Barrister, Galiena learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Gnomish companion (her 'brother'). She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
