It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Her hair is long and golden with streaks of blonde, and is pulled back with small yellow clips. Her face is full, her cheeks are rosy, and she always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in her violet eyes.

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. She feeds upon the attention of others.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She was granted arcane powers by her dying brother.
