History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Bolg was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Lia alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Revenge; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it
