Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. Balimaar enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Balimaar was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Engraver they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Weaver, and he later adopted a second son.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Mindartis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Kerkad abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers
