History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Herleva was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Enna hails from a village terrorized by brigands. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Personality: Synthrin speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She never wears the same outfit twice, unless she absolutely has to.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her father. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered poetry. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
