Personality: Aust is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Mella embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Mella was born in the south. At a young age she loved to build and create. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to share knowledge with the world

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Through the years after Seven was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Seven's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear
