Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. He conceals his halberd with his veritable burlap sack of a shirt. His hair is silver and curly. His gold eyes peer out from beneath his deerstalker green hat.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Description: A stocky darker skinned woman, she wears a robe, a symbol of the four houses of cards around her neck, and a quarterstaff on her belt. Her hair is auburn, silky, and of moderate length. This green eyed easterner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Motivation: To protect her home; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Ruler profession.

History: She got into the Barrister business at a young age. She worked as a nervous Barrister and found it very stressful. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Barrister.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and to be a ruler again

Description: The light-skinned man stands 3'1" and wears white robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally he wears more armor. He prefers to carry a hammer, but if one is not available he will default to his longsword. His long silver hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are amber.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Halflings became a terror of the countryside. After a long history of fighting, Darrow and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and to share knowledge with the world
