Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He wears a black tunic with yellow highlights, and long white pants that bunch up around his shoes. He has a very tight haircut. His fierce gray eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Armorer arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Kothûg took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up glaive and armor he uses now. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away

Description: This woman is bedraggled and starved. She is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. Her long red fur is drawn into a two foot long braid. Her amber eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Carter born in the past three hundred years. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Dyer they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Carter, and she later adopted a second son.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent father; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

Description: Runty and weak-looking, she wears an entirely tan suit with violet socks and a vest with buckled shoes. Her head has been shaved. She has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: Lorilla wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Ranger, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: Lorilla hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Carter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and many dire rats want her driven away

Description: This malnourished man dresses in black turtlenecks beneath a brown coat with red slacks. He wears a wide-brimmed hat to cover his moderate length white hair. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines white.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and he will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact
