History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: She feels threatened by others; and she is terrified, and will act out of fear

History: Richard was born the youngest of three triplets. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He became a Shipwright soon after.
