History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She struck the Bookbinder job and began her own company from there.
