History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Veit fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Helja was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Cleric, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Cleric in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Helja was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature monstrous two handed axe.

Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Scribe they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter.
