History: Medrash lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Morana is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Morana was raised in a hard working conservative environment. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She has worked as a Mayor like her mother before her.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Soapmaker but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Cressel was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he wants revenge against dire rats

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Gunnloda's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. A true patriot, Gunnloda would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: She got into the Mortician business at a young age. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
