History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Veit was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He worked as a nervous Tanner and found it very stressful. He's also a talented Fletcher, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: He is a sleazy, sleazy guy. He has no qualms about using his powers of suggestion to get people to do what he wants. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs; and he has money and likes to spend it

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage daughter.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well.

Description: This man is very fat, and dresses in brown turtlenecks beneath a green coat with white slacks. He wears his red hair up. His eyes are a pleasant amber.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of brigands may trigger it at times.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Revenge.
