History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Body Guard arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Nykkan was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the orcs.

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Dilettante.
