Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. He wears a fine chain shirt which he covers with black colored cloaks and clothing. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His ears are large.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. Cairn enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: A deep hatred of drow; and to reunite with his old friends

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. River was born on a far southern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Fortune-teller. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Description: This northern woman is renowned for her bright blue dresses and hats. Her clothes are grease stained in places. Her hair is long and white with streaks of auburn, and is pulled back with small blue clips. Her eyes are brown and she is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: She never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. Ulla is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: She was born in a small mountains village. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and retire the richest woman in the north
