Personality: She considers herself the perfect lady. She makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Helen's homeland. Helen decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and to prove his worth to the world

History: Born in the east to a Detective, Heward learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and balancing his hectic life and new detective responsibilities is difficult
