History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. After coming to the age of reason, Jo took it upon herself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. History: Pikar was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Map Maker arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
