History: Herleva hails from a village terrorized by illithids. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Herleva alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: She is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions
