History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Emmeline was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Hobart never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.
