Personality: He hates goblins. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Miles lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered goblins who tried to eat his hand. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

History: Born to a Marshal, her father struggled to pay the bills. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
