He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the south. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

History: Alston hails from a village terrorized by illithids. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
