Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Chaedi was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the brigands.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
