History: Halander hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
