History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Joan liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the south. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
