History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ortegar embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents enrolled him in a Druid school at a young age so that he could practice his divine talents. He was granted divine powers by his dying sister.

Description: A pudgy woman standing about 4'0" has a big stupid grin on her face most of the time. She prefers to wear the grand gowns of high society. Personality: She loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from her. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Dwarf in existence. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.

History: Ovina was born with her father's beautiful face. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Dwarves in the west were limited. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Verna is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She is stubborn though. She always likes to keep a trick up her sleeve. She likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if she feels she even has a chance of losing.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
