History: He was born in the north. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Balam grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Balam. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Seamstress. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: She is an exceptionally muscular looking northern young adult. She tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with her rolled up shirt sleeves this gives her a very relaxed look. Beneath her clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. She has a long red ponytail with little hanging trinkets. She has several tiny amber earrings on each ear.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Dariff took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up halberd and armor she uses now. She bought a halberd and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.
