History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. After coming to the age of reason, Ugol took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Cumpen isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Gnomish unity. She also is a firm believer in the womanly ideal.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She found a children's book about a Gnome Commoner who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
