History: Torbera was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Aristocrat, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Aristocrat in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Torbera liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the south were limited. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
