History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Smoking took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up sai and armor he uses now. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Saphara was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Saphara was born on a far northern forest where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Stableman. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

She wears a top hat to cover her moderate length silver hair. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She swings through moods quickly. One moment she is cool and collected, the next she is carried away by passions. On top of that she is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to her employer will always come first she doesn't like to hit women.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: She would like to get married and retire.
