History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Barbena was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has never given up on her poetry dream.
