Description: The dark-skinned man stands 4'2" and wears suspenders and grey workpants. His shirt is green, and he wears a heavy grey leather apron most of the time. His chestnut hair is still thick. His gray eyes peer out from beneath his small grey hat.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Ruler arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Halflings became a terror of the countryside. He became a Butcher soon after.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Description: He wears many layers of old clothing at all times. He is physically well-built. His red hair is braided into rings. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is a Layabout first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Mormo was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Layabout. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Layabout for the past few years.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety.

Description: A pudgy woman standing about 5'1" has a big stupid grin on her face most of the time. She is renowned for her bright brown dresses and hats. Her fur is cut close to her head. Her eyes are likewise amber. Her teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, River is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: A child with a great deal of singing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, River has worked very hard to control her curse. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Regain custody of her son; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion
