History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Rurik fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Description: He is a pot bellied northern man with a big hulking figure and broad shoulders. He is well dressed, constantly wearing a yellow suit, tan shirt, and blue tie. His hair is auburn and curly. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He is an amazing painter.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. She enjoys reading and quiet.

History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. A freak accident while working with her Barrister mother left her crippled. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.
