Jillian's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with writing. She constantly tries to fill her life with writing. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Armorer but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
