History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Cartwright. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Arannis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He dropped out of school to support his sick mother, and resented it. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.
