History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Rael is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: He was born in the east. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac.
