History: Mamnen was born with his father's beautiful face. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Salanop was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.
