History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Galiena alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His childhood dream was to be a Crown-heir, but he was a colossal failure. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
