History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
