History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Balifra was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Description: This man is unhealthily muscled, almost every single one of his veins is visible when he is not flexing. His shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for him due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. His crest is cut close to his head. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Shamash fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: John lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Description: She wears suspenders and violet workpants. Her shirt is white, and she wears a heavy violet leather apron most of the time. She has a slight overbite and is overall scrawny. With wild white hair. Her violet eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: She loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
