Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. The war was a terrible time for her, and Silent does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Silent lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. She never wears the same outfit twice, unless she absolutely has to.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Pearl was born on a far western island where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Farmer. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and her religion dominates her actions

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: Paymon was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Butcher. He has worked as a Butcher like his father before him.
