Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized brown coat. His black hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His thin eyebrows rest above his beady green eyes.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Charles was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Charles fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He was born in the west. At some point he was captured by brigands and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He wants revenge against brigands.

Description: This woman stands a little under 6'3" and is a bit bulky. She is very muscular particularly in the legs. She wears a white vest with golden trim over her white shirt. Her blue leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and her white boots flare out at the collars. Her head has been shaved. Her eyes are likewise amber. Her teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. Kansif enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Kansif was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it
