History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Dain alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in the north to a Shepherd, Heward learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Heward's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Shepherd.
