History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. During her travels, Helen and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Helen discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Helen fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.
