History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Katherine alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact.
