Description: She is a small woman, but exceptionally fit. She dresses in collared shirts and wears a proper scarf over her head. Her auburn hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. Her face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. Her spectacle hidden eyes are a deep amber.

Personality: She is happy with her job as a Guard. She turns her eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To be a Sailor again; and balancing her hectic life and new guard responsibilities is difficult

Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He usually wears his red robe and has his kukri always slung over his shoulder. His long chestnut hair reaches down to his waist. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is a Merchant first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. A gifted student he started as a Architect, but he got bored and became a Merchant. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Merchant and occasionally as a mercenary.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.

Description: This southern man is dressed in an above average manner. His clothes are grease stained in places. He wears a deerstalker hat to cover his moderate length green crest. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

Description: A man with a calm yet intense air about him, he wears dark leathers with embroidery. He has a very tight haircut. He has a tattooed face.

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To pay off his debts.
