When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Stylist hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. In her journeys she found a malevolent artifact. She wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Hork was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
