History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Oskar was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Oskar's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Thiala was born in the west. At a young age she loved to build and create. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister.
