Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Kûga's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. After a long history of fighting, Kûga and his spouse have recently divorced.

Description: A man with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. He usually wears his brown robe and has his pickaxe always slung over his shoulder. His red hair has been sun bleached extensively. His fierce blue eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: She considers herself a woman of culture and sophistication. She likes a good challenge to her wits. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage son.

History: She was born into a rich family. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: The child of a Priest, who enjoyed hunting, Bethrynna was taken on many hunting expeditions. Over the years she perfected her riding and shooting skills. She has worked as a Engraver like her father before her.
