During his travels, Beiro and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Beiro discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Beiro fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of goblins may trigger it at times.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Pyra was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
