History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Lance was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Matilda alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Dreali isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Half-Elven unity. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: Dreali was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Dreali was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
